Metal Halide 250 & 400 watt 10,000k bulb

Can anybody suggest what ballasts I could use with these bulbs ? Looking for something as affordable as possible....

I checked with UPS this morning and they dont cover glass

Guess times have changed ... they must have gotten fed up replacing breakables ... too bad I dont get a free bulb ... but I might be interested in buying a couple though

Just wanted to let everyone know that I fired up the 3 400 watt 10 000 kelvin MH bulbs I received yesterday from Venki on my new retrofit driven by 3 son agro 430 watt HPS ballasts. The bulbs fired up right away and were extremely white in colour. I guess the important question is how long the bulbs will last being overdriven by the HQI-type ballasts. Man are they ever bright. I'm currently running 6 VHOs over my 280 gallon reef. Can't imagine what it's gonna look like when I get the MH/VHO retrofit installed.

Anyone else with feedback on these lights? I'm sitting on the fence right now.

I am currently running 250W iwasaki's on m58/h37 combo ballasts and I'm unhappy with the yellow colour. I wasn't going to replace these bulbs till this time next year (bulbs are 2 months old) but this price seems too good to pass up.

just got my 400 bulb
packaging was awesome

how long is the break in period of these bulbs
its more yellowish color than i expected a 10000k bulb would look[compared to my 175 10000k bulb ]
