I still don't even know what it means!! Everyone has a green dot. woohoo. Now what?? I'm supposed to trust buying something from someone because they have a green dot? If they're bad, does it turn red? By default everyone has a green dot. sigh.....

I'll stick to the old method. If you have less than 2 post counts, I'm going to be careful sending you money..

A bit analogous of the original eBay rating system. They have since changed it so buyers can't be given negative feedback, so sellers are at buyer's mercy with little opportunity for a response if the buyer is full of it.

So who enabled the feature here in the first place & why, no heads up to forum members? Took a schmuck like me to bring up the subject. I still haven't been able to change anything since I'm unable to find any options on it. I've seen other forums where a similar feature is used, but it's the text under your avatar/forum handle, where this board shows "junior member" or "member". These seem primarily dependent on post count, so as your count rises, the text changes accordingly, to something like "very respected member" or even "moved on" if the person is given the boot.
