Default LED Shelf Upgrade

So I decided instead of suspending my lights above the tank, That I would create a shelf for the units to sit on. Also added 2 Ecoray 60D to the Unbranded China LED Fixtures. Still have to do some cable management, so excuse the messy cords. Did this last night, so it was pretty late, when I was done.

I've got 2 of the ecoray 60D's on my 90, how high do you have yours? It looks like they may not be high enough? I think mine are hanging about 17" above the top of my tank and I have one purple valida thats still alive, most of my other stuff hasnt survived (could be other reasons) but my softies love it. I've seen the lights mounted higher on other peoples tanks.

From what I read, these Ecorays are suppose to be at least 3' above the tank, they are commercial lights. Mine are about 2' off the tank...I could be wrong. Most of my corals died when I put it too close, most of them seem happy with where it is at now. Only time will tell.

Yeah, I'd like to get mine higher, but they are at the roof right now. Another reefer suggested getting some sort of plastic sheeting (like the ones covering florescent lighting) to try to "dim" the light, I've got a sheet at home, I just need to cut it and put it on the lights. I like the idea of lower energy and not having to replace bulbs, but I'm not entirely sure if I'm sold on these lights...

Not totally sold on LED either...My MH setup before could grow anything, but now it seems like a struggle just to get things to survive, let alone grow....

I've got the maxspect mazzara, and I like it better than the ecoray. I think the dimmable ecorays would be better

Where did you get the maxspect mazzara from and how much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?

After battling a tank crash due to a heater sticking on all the time, it is finally back on the road to recovery. Here are some new Panoramic pictures taken with my phone:
