He seems a little cramped in my tank right now. I got home today and hes really zipping around. What an active fish. Swims much more than the tangs even.

Looks like I have a 200G coming soon though that he will enjoy a lot more.

Ive heard that tusks are particularly notorious for being unusually active upon introduction. they usually settle down and swim more slowly within a couple weeks.

Looks great Justin, looks like he did indeed ship well! I'd love one of those too someday. Sweet, new tank! Let me know if you want some help moving or building stuff, I'll be glad to lend a hand.

Careful...I may take you up on that!

I think I may need one more guy to help me move the tank...I have three lined up for sure but probably will need 4. We are using a dolly so not much lifting really except up onto the stand.

The tank is 3/4" bottom and 1/2" side panes, so relatively heavy but not that bad. Luckily there are no stairs to go up and no need to use the elevator even at my place because if we go in through the back, its on ground level (my building is on a hill).

I felt bad for the big guy.
FYI, this hippo was not 'picked on', he has severe lateral line erosion caused by poor nutrition and bad water quality, and was brought to the store to have a chance at a better life! Regal tangs are so prone to lateral line. He is needing a good home with an owner that will feed him seaweed and veggies daily to try and repair some of the damage... Although he will probably never fully heal.

Yeah he has one of the worst cases of HLLE I have ever seen. I still feel so bad for him. I really would take him if I didn't already have a Hippo or if two hippos would get along in one tank.

He did seem quite active and just needs a good diet and care for a bit.
