wow.

Some pretty impressive systems. My tank is only 15g and I want to upgrade. Currently running a cheapy par38 10,000k but I hate the whiteness and it's only 60 degree optics.

I was just trying to get an idea on what everyone is using here in CDA.

I want to get a par38 from Coral Compulsion as its full spec at 18k but unsure about ordering from US

Kessil A160we or AI prime would probably be your best bet if you want to go non-par38 route.

Default What lights do you use

AI prime is what I would do if you plan on staying small. If you think you will upgrade to a bigger tank later on then I would go for an xr15 as it can handle up to a 2' cube and is still small and sleek

Kessil is another option but I personally prefer to have the ability to tune the Color spectrum that the other two options above provide.

Yes with the Kessil you only have the two channels and the intensity to tune, but on the plus side the point source array makes for a very nice shimmer that the others don't have. It makes your tank look very much like a shallow lagoon with the light bouncing off the ripples. So it is a trade off.

Would 1 ai prime be enough for the 15g? They say specs are 18x18? My tank is 24x13x13

The coral compulsion par38 apparently has 24x24 specs...why don't we have these in cda? Lol.

My par works and things have grown but I hate the colour, I like more blue than white.

I vote xr15 since its 24" wide. Plus if your anything like me then you eventually upgrade or want the fancier version so just get the good one for the start

The xr15's are my third light in the last year and a half and should be my last.

Definitely not upgrading tank. I'm in an apartment with 2 tanks and no more room. Lol.
