AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF RUNNING BIO-PELLETS.... I can finally say "I think they are working"

I used to have a small cyano issue on my sand bed. I have gone through three sand sifters (rainford, sleeper, dragon) as a means to reduce it.

NOW, I have no sifters at all AND no cyano. Really not much algae to speak of either!

Any thoughts?

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.

What about algae on the glass? Does it prevent that?

No ha ha! I wish.

I should say... none of the usual nuisance type algaes.

I think glass algae is inevitable.

Nicer in person. This was an iPhone pic. Polyps are lavender in color.

And Jason it's healthy alright. Fat!

Hopefully it likes my tank.

Default Coral

My Brain under Blue+

My Monti... was given to me a Poker Star... but I do not believe it is. Anyone have a positive ID?

I was thinking Rainbow Monti.

Found this on the web which I believe is accurate.

Pokerstar monti
Quote:
The purple flesh is adorned with tiny green polyps with orange centers.
Rainbow monti
Quote:
The Polyps of this Rainbow Monti are bright green within the corals center section. On the leading growth edge polyps turn orange/red. What makes this coloration change even more interesting is that polyps located in the area between the leading edge and center section have pigments with a spread coloration located spectrally between red and green. As you travel outward from the center section the pigments change from green to yellow to orange and then finally reddish orange.

Nice pics btw, you get a new camera or something?
