Although you might be interested to know that the red a.convexa is pretty much the same as procorals superman acro. It actually sells for quite a bit around the US last time I looked.

Ya that is the same as the red convexa (coralmaster) and a few people hear have cultivated over the years. I got rid of my mother colony but still have some frags in the frag tank. I have had that coral for 6yrs maybe. It gets green and even blue at the base sometimes and can get a really nice red colour but is also prone to brown out a bit.

Sorry I dont have a pic right now. Although it seems very happy and has encrusted the plug like crazy mine is leaning towards pink in colour. Perhaps Im giving the frag a little too much light.

Yup, Darryl is spot on (again). That is a convexa for sure.

Hope you guys didn't buy it as a RR Diablo frag, those are $25 frags around are neck of the woods.

Same coral (from Darryl)

The coral game is a lot like any other consumable product. If you paid far less then market value, then odds are you probably got a knock off or the wrong piece entirely.

Everyone has deals once in a while, but if your paying $50 for a RR Diablo frag I would seriously have my doubts on the lineage of said coral. There is usually a reason for the high price tag on the rare corals, slow grower, one off piece, or very hard to aqua culture.

If it is too good to be true, then it probably is...buyers beware.
