Jesus.

Sucks bad enough losing a pet, but then to pay that.

I'm hoping that's with cremation fees too?

Since we're sharing one of my cats use to have problems, a combination of being allergic to pretty much every type of commercial food and having urinary problems use to stack up pretty decent bills for constant check ups and meds. One day after learning a few things outside of the vet I managed to switch him onto a raw diet, now he's 100% with zero health issues. Only complaint is he's 100% with zero health issues and he'll probably live forever... this is my nightmare.

In regards to dogs and dental, nothing better for a dogs teeth than the occasional raw bone. This is our dentist, cost around $2.50

Raw bones raw meat. Best food for dogs. Raw meat also curbs bad hips

I'm sorry for your loss. At a time like this, the money is irrelevant.

Yeap, cats too. All my animals are on 100% raw diet now, haven't paid a vet bill since.

I 100% agree with this. My pup had all sorts of gastro issues, over weight on a moderate calorie food. we were strict with his food and never give table scraps or other treat and exercised him regularly. talked to a few people (thanks brad) and made the switch to raw. Now, lost about 10-15 lbs, doesn't beg for food, energy is up, and a damn fine coat.

food is a little more expensive, but i think thats because were using pre made/ground/mixed food. if we were to do it ourselves probably much cheaper

Ahhh, so sad! Sorry for your loss! We have 2 cats and a dog, if possible we try to take them to didsbury for check ups treatment! Half the cost of city vets!

Knock on wood, everyone is healthy but all are less than 4 years old.

Very bad for Huskies though as it makes there hunting instincts go nuts. We do give the dog smoked Elk & beef bones, mostly legs.
