so after drilling my tank (dual corner overflow and 2 returns along top), painting it, plumbing it, and getting everything set up, i went to move the tank into the house and whamo.... shattered the side pane....

time to look for a new tank and start over... hopefully i can get my corner overflow out to reuse it

Ouch.. You may not need a whole new tank. If it was just one pane of glass that broke perhaps look into replacing it. Would be much cheaper. Could even do it yourself.

Agree with Kien, just replacing the side pane wouldn't be too bad. The worst part of replacing panes is taking the broken pieces off and cleaning up the edges.

I would also look into replacing the one piece, way cheaper and pretty easy to do yourself.
