I ran carbon after the two days as well and did a water change on day four so don't think this was the case. I would like to know wonder if I can send him somewhere to have tested? What other inhabitants do you have ? They do not take harassment at all. They will just hide/quit eating and will die just from the stress alone.

Test never indicated a problem and No3 was at 5 ppm so I think the cycle was still there, but its hard to know what happens on a micro level. I an not a fan of medication to begin with, but was a bit paranoid after loosing the first one.

I've had mine for just over 2 yrs, they are really entertaining. Boy they sure have climbed in price, though not cheap back then either.
