Cruiseliner Sinks After Iceberg Crash Updated:02:11, Saturday November 24, 2007 A cruise ship has sunk in the icy waters of the Antarctic Ocean, hours after scores of tourists were rescued from it. They had paid thousands of pounds to explore one of the world's most inaccessible areas, but were forced to abandon the ship after it struck an iceberg. The Canadian ship Explorer has now completely sunk, according to the Chilean navy. "Our units in the area aren't seeing anything," a navy spokesman said. "The Explorer is not visible any longer." |
