Price? Hey, why don't you frag it and keep a piece for yourself? Make some money, sell some pieces cheap and keep it in your reef!

Thumbs up

I'm not sure how to frag it and if it's risky or not

leather's so easy even I can do it . go to a medical supply store, buy a cheap plastic handled scalpal.

then go to town on it. Try to slice, not saw, and try to get a piece of the base with each frag. You can get plugs from albert at gold's for like 55 cents each that are super easy to attach the frags to. only need fishing line, as no sewing into the coral with needles required. If they're too large for the frags, use liverock rubble or the likes. Just strap them directly to the rock, and they'll take hold. Even if they're a little sideways.

If you have any around long enough, cut off the fishing line once you notice it has taken hold, in order to prevent unnessary cutting from the line as it grows.

Even easier is to take a really good pair of scissors. Just cut the stock like you would cut the branch off a tree. Right at the base. One quick snip and you have a nice frag for someone.
I've always used surgical scissors but any good quality pair will do. And that way you don't have to have both hands in the tank to cut off a piece.
