No not a variety of caulerpa (no matter what species you believe it is), doesn't go sexual. But - My yellow tang and 6bar angel love to nip at it.

Albert - it may have, I've gotten red macros from a variety of people - some have survived some haven't, strangely I've never tried to tag them to keep track of who supplied what

Just noticed this thread as I was searching for some halymenia for my sump. From what I've had previously, halymenia is soft and slippery.

Here's a good ID page. There's a "Search for:" textbox at the bottom.
