My star fish is melting

today i noticed all my hammers and frogspawns fully shrunk n closed up... im not sure if its because of the starfish slowly dying n decomposing so i threw it out. I ran it under the cold tap to kill it quickly. Or mybe its because the temp of my tank went to 81 deg.. i normally keep it at 79. But it went to as high as 85 the other day and everything was blooming. Anyways i was thinking about ordering these solar powered clip on fans to clip on my display.. Just wondering if any1 has tries these and if my LED lights are able to recharge them? And no i do not have a chiller.
