Carbon will help if there's something in the water

Lowering your temp from 82 to 75 is a bit drastic

can't say I've ever come across high PO4 being harmful to fish, just causing algae and stunting corals

What temperature do you run your tank at normally? I agree with Greg a big temp swing can be a bad thing. Constant steady temperature of what ever you choose to run at is the important thing even when doing your water changes. Try and get your new water parameters as close as possible to your system before putting it in. Salinity was on the high side for sure. Good luck, hope this helps.

Hey! I never "LEFT" the hobby, just doing fresh water now. Which is still listed as part of Canreef if I'm not mistaken.
