I shall, just have to find a 250W setup to compare it to once we find one and test the results i'll post them

Given the LEDs spotlights are used properly, not inside an enclosed fixture, the PAR valve drop is only 30% through the lifespan of the LEDs which is roughly 6 years

the LED spotlights cover a footprint of about 1ft x 1ft before the steep dropoff of PAR occurs so roughly i suggest 1 bulb per that footprint. unless doing a softy tank which then i would suggest the 15W version.

For those who are interested in these spotlight or even just for those that want to expand their knowledge on lighting. These LED spotlights are good for coverage that is roughly 1ft x 1ft. Metal Halide systems generally cover a footprint of 2ft x 2ft range before the intensity drops off quite a bit.

So in deciding how many ICE CooL.E.Ds are needed for a tank, base it on the footprint so the tank doesnt get a spotlight effect. However once the tank gets to 20"+ i would suggest something in the range of 3 spotlights for a 2ft-L x 1ft-W dimension.

I saw the pico display today at the boutique and these bulbs are very nice. I placed my hand about 6 inches under the bulbs and the heat was barely noticeable but the tank glowed.
