Few pairs of eyes in the black market

We had a discussion over here when the first batch was up for auction.

Although Matt Pedersen was the only one actually producing these clowns for the past couple of years, the success of it was been very limited. It's great to see Hubert get one into Canada though. I tried pretty hard to be the first in Canada, but congratulations is in order.

Good news for anyone else looking at getting some of these in the not so distant future... Sea & Reef has also had success producing these with an offspring from one of the offspring that Matt had originally produced.

Although they don't look the same, and not much research has yet been done since the clowns are still in their infancy. There are suggestions already rising that the lightning pattern becomes more prominent as the fish ages.

That being said, the original Lightning may be 5-10 years old already.

With gold nugget maroons still being sold for $400, I wouldn't be shocked to see the price of the lightnings be a solid $800-$1,000 once they are released.
