Wow, Nick, great job on that new tank, and so quickly! Looks like you put a lot of thought and work into it. Going to be a real showcase in the not too distant future.

Thanks walter i appreciate that. Its a work in progress forsure. Once all my sps takes off it will really start to look cool. It sucks though, all of the sps that had started encrusting on the rock had to be broken off and re glued. So time to start from square one.

What brand name of black sand ! I'm looking to do my tank in black sand . But I heard of some sands having metal in them and to do my research before buy. Last edited by Aquattro; 01-03-2014 at 04:59 AM. |

It is caribsea black sand. I asked the people at J&L about it and they didn't seem to know to much. The bag said on it reef safe, and good for salt water. Im just taking a chance, and am hoping it works good. Is it bad if it has metal in it? Im just hoping because its a reputable company that i should be ok.
