Default Padina gymnospora Algae

Padina gymnospora Algae

So I have a pretty new set up just a 29 gallon jbl nano. I found this stuff growing just want to know if it will grow like crazy and take over my tank. Or if it should be fine. I don't mind the the look of it as long as it doesn't go crazy. Thanks

Is the padina came along with your live rocks? No need to worry about this brown algae to outgrow your tank since it's difficult to keep and will perish in your system sooner or later.

Yeah it was off the live rock. Threw some bio digest in my tank and got like three weird type of algae growing. But thanks for the info.

What do u know got it. So the feather algae I heard was some bad stuff. The grass alage I have no idea I thought it was hair algae at first but doesn't look like any I've had before. The bugs in the tank love it their are hundred on it. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

The feather/fern algae in picture#1 and seagrass like algae in picture#2 are known as bryopsis. You can get rid of it manually & siphon it away at the same time while the padina algae in picture one can be treated as decorative algae but quite challenging to maintain for it is classified as advanced level to keep. No idea with the algae showing at picture#3 since that's not clear enough. HTH
