![]() On a scale of 1-10, my jealousy of your tank stand is at a 12! Very nice work!

![]() Looks great! Great idea about the trim too. (*starting to scheme* ... I have a FOWLR tank that I needed to basically completely box in the canopy because it houses a Hawaiian flame wrasse pair and a golden dwarf moray and I'm utterly terrified they'll get out of the tank otherwise ... I'd much prefer an open top though, so this def has me thinking!!)
Great bromeliad too. Careful, they can be pretty addicting in their own right. I count reefs, orchids and broms as 3 of my current vices. ![]() And .. sorry something I've always wondered. How is one supposed to say your Canreef name? Is the 4 like an "A" in l33t speak? Ie., "Kryptic Al" or is the 4 a 4? Kryptic Four-ll? Kryptic Forl? Kryptic For Ell? ???? Sorry for being totally clueless. ![]()

![]() Lol, crack me up. It's 4-L which stands for 4 life. It's a suffix I picked up 10 years ago when I was gaming lots from a small group of us who travelled from team to team usually as a package deal.
It stuck with me, simply for the fact I've never ran into the issue, this username is already taken please choose another.

![]() ![]() modified some floor drains today and cemented them in. so took the sump offline for the night. i was having trouble with the water jumping to the next chamber and making a ton of noise. so hopefully this will help keep the flow going through the socks. strange that the best fitting ones for my socks were the most expensive ![]()

![]() great idea! did you get this sump from concepts? i had the exact same issue with my socks being slightly too small for the holes and so water was leaking around the rim of the socks and splashing straight into the chamber below.
what i've done for now is cut thin strips of filtration cloth and wrapped them around each sock to close those gaps. |

![]() Yes I did.
For once the project went better then expected only a very small drip remained afterwards, everything feels very solid in there. If I get peeved off enough about the drip I picked up a back up plan today. I've kinda been looking for an excuse try this out. But I will probably just leave it alone as things are much quieter now. Running 300 micron brs socks. These things need to be pushed into place. But are solid once in place. ![]() The back up plan ![]()
