From the description and the fact that I just found one myself last week I am pretty sure it is a Ball tipped nem. They are harmless. Prefer shaded areas

I've got one in my tank as well. They often close completely during the day if they're in a bright spot. If you want it to grow you can try feeding it tiny pieces of mysis. There's a bunch of different species of ball tipped anemones, some are quite spectacular.

Yeah that is why I never noticed it before. It's completely hidden during the day.
