I think a informal alliance is far better ( not to menion cheaper

) ... we can do trade agreements without a formal alliance ... too late for me anyway as I am over 200 points

At the very beginning ... the science bonus is nice but if you have not selected a race it is not that big a deal.

Wow, the battle calculator sucks

I had 89 destroyers, 1 battleship and a level 13 starbase vs. that holfy fleet. I estimated both his sciences at lvl 15 (cuz his profile said lvl 15 science) and still the battle calculator said my chance of winning was 1 to 0.

Well, I lost.

I only killed 70% of his fleet.

And, to top it off, he has sent *8* !!!!!!!! more fleets after me. Sooo...

Guess I wait to be killed off and maybe start again. God damn.

Turn all your points into cash, leave it withone of us and restart. That way when you reach lvl one you have disposable cash =)

Its not too bad starting over =) Maybe you will be closer to some of us =)

I just got this this morning..

Attention !!! We have evidence of an incoming fleet around that time.
12 Destroyer
going to attack Gamma Miaplacidus 1!
We suppose its the Fleet of klonga.

I actualy started laughing out loud. The guy is attacking a planet I just colonized so I have no SB. He is level 1 or something. But since it is not going to get to my planet till the 29th I figured I would just let my PP go into the factory. I already have over 20 destroyers at the planet and decided to send a small armada over to it as well, some 26 colony ships along with 65 destroyers.. I figured an hour before he arrives I will plop up my SB then say hi by sending my own personal fleet.. some 200 destroyers to pay him or her

a visit. should be fun..

Ok, this is killing me.

I have a physics of 16 and a math of 9.

I have an enemy fleet in my orbit of one of my planets. He cant colonise me cuz I killed all his transports.

However, he had only 50 destroyers in my orbit. So far, I have sent 2 battleships and close to 70 destroyers to kill him. In two fleets.

YET, he still has 32 destroyers in my orbit! I CANT KILL THIS GUY! Why? Anyone? Please? What am I doing wrong?

I always send them in one fleet and that way the CV will be higher than his ... he could also have a race bonus that you have not factored in ... now when I use the battle calculator I am assuming a race bonus for my opponents defence at +4, Math & Physics even ( I am at Math 15 & Physics 16 ) and a 1 - 0 winning percentage for myself.

He might have a really high Math lvl giving him 50% better defense.
