Default Bangaii Cardinal fish Breeding help.

I have a pair of maited bangaii cardinal fish and i am having troubles kepping the eggs alive. they have had eggs 4 times but i have still not seen any fry. i have tryed putting the eggs into a breeding net and still nothing. I have read about keeping the eggs in suspension but i do not know how to do this. If anybody knows what im doing wrong or can help that would be great. Thanks

Your first problem is a bangaii cardinal is a mouthbrooder. The male will hold the fertilized eggs in his mouth until they hatch out. He then still holds the live fry in his mouth a little longer. They are released live. Miniatures of the parents then you have to worry about keeping them alive.

If you attempt to strip the eggs before they hatch in his mouth you need to use an egg tumbler. Unless you're a serious breeder, you're better off allowing the male to incubate. IME, the egss hatch around day 25, and he will release them a few days later. They will then be miniatures of the adults.
