![]() Hello,
Not yet. I still have a long list of to dos behind the scene before getting to this. Things like security, remote access for the Staff team, monitoring, and there appears to have been a mail issue. After all these, I have to update the board's software, then do a migration to the v4 version. Then I need to revisit some long planned enhancement also. But somewhere along all this I do have Tapatalk in mind and will try to schedule in when I can review its security and feature set again. Titus

![]() I can sympathize with a user who misses a great way to read his favourite forums and I can sympathize with a sysadmin who always has more work than he needs.
The trick is finding the right balance, user vs. sysadmin. I think is this case I would side with the users and move tapatalk higher up the priority list but this is not my forum and only my opinion. |

![]() Hello,
Guys I am reading this thread from time to time. I have the following on my list which I believe is a bit more important than enabling Tapatalk. -Re-enabled photopost and vbGallery (both are down after the site transfer due to code incompatability). -Fix a utilization issue on hardware. -A few other non-imminent issues but stuff I need to work on to get the site moving forward. The PhotoPost thing is an outage for me. The utilization issue can potentially thrash the site (not likely but I see increase in alerts I'm getting). Tapatalk has a work around, however, by browsing the site using normal browser. I think the choice is clear to me. Titus

![]() I hear you titus. I can suggest for the hardware side you might want to investigate virtual server with a reputable host. We have about 30 Windows and linux VM and love it. Need to add another NIC or increase RAM it only requires a reboot. Recovery is awesome, pooch an install you can do a full OS, SQL and data recovery with a couple of clicks and be back up and running in minutes rather than hours.
I would recommend any sysadmin look at hosted VM solution for their next server. |
