I do mine by weight 1.5 pounds of IO to 5 gallons water. you will need 19.5 pounds of IO salt.

You use a Measuring Cup. 1 cup is a standard unit of measure. they make measuring cups in 1/4,1/3, 1/2, 1 cup measurements.
