lets not forget it is a brand new bulb and it is barly beating a AB with 1600 hours on it. I think this might be a deicent bulb but like any new bulb untill we test some with 6 months of burning we will not no for sure.

having said that I am concidering getting one to run and try out myself so I can see how fast/slow they fall off.

venkiw, when do you think your 14K bulbs will be ready for people to buy? this is the color that would interest me the most as it would be closer to the color of a AB and I would love to try them out.

The 14K and 20K and DE bulbs are slated for release this Christmas!!!.

The 250 Watts E-Ballast are sold out, I have a few 400 watts left.

Its been 3 months since the launch of the products, the bulbs are holdong pretty good. Buyers are reporting coral growth that they never experience before.

I'm looking at a 2 x 250W DE system. What sort of prices are you going to have bulbs and ballasts for?

250 watts bulb and ballast combo would be around 165 - 170 CAD.

Just to be sure, these ballasts will fire up DE bulbs right? That was the question. I assume this will fire up both SE and DE bulbs from your messages. Any difference in price between SE and DE combos?

Do you have a website? It would be nice and much easier to research everything from one place. You can also add your website to your profile so we can easily find it. Thanks.

The DE combo is slightly higher (5$ more) in view of the cost of the bulb, the ballast will fire both SE and DE bulbs.

My Website is a www.sunaquatics.com, but it is still work in progress.

I assume that the FC2 (or whatever they're called) sockets and the fixture isn't included in that price. Do you sell them separately or are we on our own to supply those? DE's need some kind of UV shield.

The sockets are not included, yes the DEs need a protective lens.

Do you sell the sockets or not? If so, what is the price? What do you recommend for a UV sheild, is a panel of "clear float" glass in 4.5mm or 6mm going to adequate? This is going to be rather tiresome if I have to ask everything twice...
