Hey John tank looks awesome but I expected nothing less. This is going to be a stupid question from a beginer SW but........ what is the purpose of the carbon? I have asked several different people what all should be in the sump and the only answer i really have received is some sponge to catch larger debri. You put it in your filter sock I am guessing. I know it is highly nessesary in FW have used it for years.

thanks Greg, yup, i use a filter sock to catch what ever is loose in the water, the sock i use is pretty fine so it gets mucked up after abit so i do change frequently.

and carbon is used to remove impurties from the water. like a britta water filter carbon does.

well, there was no luck in catching the crabs the last few nights,

Bummer on the crabs. Have you tried a bottle trap?

i was looking into this, and i think its def an option. i thought about getting a niger trigger as well. but would rather take out the crabs then get a new fish.

well still no luck with the crabs. So i am leavin them be.

did get some top downs tonight though. Got some damage on the first 3 pics, that i couldnt see front view of the tank. Burnt branch and the plate might surround the stag. and the chalice is losing to the confusa and fast.

setosa, getting encrusted of the plug.
