So far he's doing really well. I've wanted one for almost a year now but I kept reading about how they are notorious fin nippers and since I have angelfish in that tank I wasn't sure if I should get one. Then later on I got my grouper and I was worried he might try to eat one if I got one. So I held off. I saw this one at the store on Nov. 13th and I was very tempted to get him then, but all my old thoughts came back to me and I still wasn't sure if I should. Then when I saw him again during the reef store tours meet and Dawn and Wayne said they would get him for me as a birthday present (my birthday was the next day) I couldn't resist I also rationalized that the toby puffer wasn't much smaller then the bursa trigger I have in that tank so odds were in my favor that the grouper wouldn't eat him, and my King angel nips the fins of some of the other fish in that tank so maybe if she got a taste of her own medicine...it wouldn't be so bad. Anyway my worries were for nothing. My blue spot toby puffer hasn't even shown the slightest interest in trying to nip anyone. However when the puffer first went into the tank my grouper was a bit too interested in him for my liking and I was worried for a few minutes that he just might try to eat him, so I ran upstairs and I quickly thawed out some sliversides and I filled up my grouper on those and he lost interest in my puffer. Now they get along just fine and my grouper hasn't tried to chase him or anything so I think he realizes that the puffer is another fish in the tank and not food.

There are 24 fish and one eel in my 230g reef tank, 17 of the fish (full grown) in my reef tank are 1" to 3" sized fish. The pic.'s of all my reef fish are all up to date so check out my link for that stocking list.
