"Keep Everything Local" and bring our community closer together. I hear you finally met fishoholic accidently at the store, online communitys are great, but we all need to visit personally too sometimes. Thanks for your support Jason. From what i understand you cannot sell ORA in canada as we do not allow genetic breeding.
Its a federal law, and if you do get one you cannot prove its ORA,, if you have proof then you are breaking the law. But this is just my opinion, i am mostly recalling rumors. |

Cites
I have confirmed this with ORA just a few moments ago.
The can and have shipped all their fish up here in Canada, I have actually talked to some of the companies that they gave me for references. The only things they cannont do at this moment is some corals and items such as SeaHorses as they require CITES. The last thing I would want is to have everything confiscated by the government like a few years ago when PJ's Pets carried thoes 'Special' glow in the dark tetras. I was actually in the store (I know, I am embarassed to admit it) when they put up the quarenteen and not for sale signs. Ken - BWA Last edited by BlueWorldAquatic; 08-20-2009 at 04:53 PM. |

I was never one to go in for the colored fish that glowed, i seen many in my fresh water days, but i suppose that is the same as died corals for the reefer.
They eventually die or get sick. As much as i like the looks of the new breeds of clownfish eg. Picaso clowns and those type for reefing, I still kinda feel wrong about buying a genetically enhanced fish. Corals tho i think those should be as bright and enhanced as you can get them, even tho they are still an animal. Good luck with this and now I have another reason to come visit your store or at least read about the bust of another coral dealer in canada. Peace friend. |

The restrictions are mostly around corals where the origin is not disclosed. |
