![]() One can convert a knife valve to a gate valve if one was willing to DIY - just have to replace the stainless rod with stainless ready rod, do a little tapping & install a thumbscrew... It's extremely cost effective in comparison to buying a true gate valve...
Last time I did it, might have been due to the older tap - it did have an extremely slow drip at the threads coming out of the valve; but the previous 3 conversions didn't...

![]() I got both of my 2" ones from Red Coral as well. Best bet if you don't want to order from afar. The RC ones were cheaper by about $20 excluding shipping when I ordered mine last year around this time.
