I think your right.

I do weekly water changes and will have to start siphoning out as much detritus as I can I think.

I really don't see much of anything collecting in the rocks (my tank is so open) but it would probably be a good idea. I think I am going to add more flow too. I could easily hide some powerheads behind the rockwork.
