Default broken tips on SPS

I was just wondering how often people see broken tips on their SPS corals? I only have two SPS corals and occas I will see a tip broken off or bent over. I have some larger damsels (which I can't catch) that chase each other and I was wondering if they are damaging the corals. Is this common to see broken SPS? I know that corals fragmenting in nature is common, but from storms or larger fish. If this is not commonly seen, are my corals too soft or weak?

Yup, fish can break tips and even branches off. I had a tang break one of my favorite colonies in half once. Lucky I couldn't catch that day!!

Fish can be good frag makers. Over time you will likely see those broken pieces that fell off grow into new colonies. Works well for them in nature.

I haven't seen any fuzzy crabs. My domino damsel likes to push new frags off the rocks into the sand. I have a nicy rock covered with microzoos that he constantly used to knock over. They are always banging into things.
