Default Silt on Live rock?

I just added my sand to the tank and then put my live rock back into it. now there is silt all over the rock. i tried pointing a high powered powerhead at the rock and the silt stays on the rock. what should i do do remove the silt from the rock. thanks

you might try a turkey baster and nail the rocks a few times a day for next week or so to keep the debris suspended so your skimmer or sock will remove it. if your not running a micron sock try plugging a foam filter adapter to a powerhead for a few weeks.
