So where does everyone buy their media for the scubber a dive shop or LFS? And what shop? I'm in the lowermainland so closer or no shipping would be ideal. Thanks

if you are on R2R. look at the thread called bubbas SPS journey. its super long but somewhere from page 170+, there is a bunch about the media and I believe where they order it from. they are in the states and you will more than likely have to order it from the US to get a decent amount for the $$$. i know brs sells it but these guys on R@R have found it else where. Good Luck and if you get it up and running, you will have to let us know the results!

Any diving shop will carry it, it's soda lime that is used in rebreathers.

So got my 5 gal pail of CO2 absorbant from The Steven's company. It took about 3 weeks to get in. Not bad I thaught.
So I set up a old TLF reactor I had. I'm still drawing air from outside. My Ph went from 7.78-8.02 on average up too 8.00-8.11 on average after 1 day. I will watching to see how long each reactor full will last. But at aprox 500ml per reactor and 5 gals of co2 absorbant it should be 5 or 6 months worth I'm hoping. So far I'm happy |

Did you set the reactor up to recirculate? This reduces media replacement significantly.
I just put mine back online to get the pH above 7.8. It’s not helping I need to figure something else out. |

I also use a air pump with two air stones in my sump for more oxygen again I will take this offline and see if it makes a difference. So far my ph stays around 8.01 up too 8.15 which is alot better then before. |
