Ah he’s beautiful! I’ve gone back & forth about getting one of these guys but couldn’t decide for one reason or another. Hope he does well in your tank!

His name is “spot” and I’m super stoked. His colors are stunning and best of all he is a butterfly fish.

Thanks Dash! Today was a great day as Spot started swimming throughout the tank and blueberry (powder blue) left him alone. His little mouth is comical and he is really social for being in the tank for 1.5 days.

Fingers crossed that he takes care of the aptasia. I leaned toward a CBB to deal with the aptasia but also love the fish in general. I figured it made sense to acquire a gorgeous fish over multiple peppermint shrimp. If he doesn’t eat the aptasia...oh well. Still a great addition.

Have you replaced the bottom plate yet, or just applied that mass of silicone inside?

Funny you mention that! I have received a new bottom plate from @Concept but haven’t replaced it yet. My wife and I leave for Cabo in 2 weeks and didn’t want to have any issues while we are away. The silicone managed to seal fairly well (looks terrible) for applying and putting water back within a couple hours. I’m left with a small drip 💧 which catches in a 5g pail. I cannot wait to get it replaced though!

Wow, that provides a cool perspective of your tank - a very nice view! Makes me appreciate the wider tank as far as aquascaping. I have to squish everything together.

Thanks dash! I know the feeling from my 75g bowfront to my 24” wide 150g. Definitely like the aqua scape which was designed to allow the “tang gang” to swim laps around and through the caverns.
