what is a good overall 175 watt mh bulb
looking for some input on a 175watt mh bulb. looking for a bulb for good growth and appearance. hoping to use a bulb around the 14k so i dont have to add supplement lighting. any suggestions would be appreciated.

14k is going to give you the best balance between colour and growth. Are you running any other lights? If you are running actinics, you could go with a 10k bulb and use the actinics to help with the colour and get better growth than a 14k bulb.

I like the color of my 250w 20K XMs. And the 20K XMs push more PAR than the 15K XMs, so better growth and color with the 20K.
