Darn glue

I was glueing a small SPS frag to a frag plug and let go of the frag too early and it fell over. In my haste to pick it back up again I managed to smear the glue all over the place. It now only has a small part of the top that is not covered in super glue gel. Will it be OK? I am afraid that if I try to peel the glue off I will strip the flesh as well. I had to bite it off my fingers!

Glue heats up when it cures and irritates coral. From my experience, any parts exposed to glue either stress and produce copious amounts of slime or die off completely.
