this is the stuff they make air diffusers for skimmers...does anyone know if I can buy this stuff commercially and make my own diffuser?

I scored some premade ones for $1.99 today, but if I have to change them every 3 weeks, I think a nice big chunk of limewood would come in handy.

You can buy it, although I'm not sure where. I read an article last year about DIY'ing wooden airstones. I'll see if I can find it again.

hey that's pretty cool, this way it's got 4 sides for the bubbles versus just 2 with the commercially bought ones. now i'm thinking of how I can make a larger airpowered countercurrent skimmer...
