Haha! I am old at heart. I swear I was born 100 years too late...maybe even more. I think living in 1900 would have been more interesting than 2000. No traffic jams in 1900.

All I asked for was some directions.

Well.. That's what you get for asking. . This is why men never ask for directions.

Calgary traffic can be bad but typically it's actually really decent if you work around the construction. Obviously some routes are bad but there's usually more than one way to take. I get downtown in 30 min during rush hour and I don't even live in the city. When I drove to Vancouver it took me an hour just to get into the city limits from the outskirts and it was a Sunday.
As for why people live in Calgary, well we have this thing called jobs, we get chinooks, close to mountains, the air doesn't smell like **** half the time, and our affordability is 46%. It's also rated #5 in the world and at one point it was close to being #1. Now why Van is rated #3 beets me, a very nice city but at 96% affordability.. come on! I do love BC though, if I could live in a little mountain town I would but there's no work for me there. |
