Actually I wasn't even aware that there were cases one would use "me" versus "I". Very interesting. Now that I think about it though, it makes perfect sense.

Well, that all depends in which sentance you are using me, myself and I. In some cases, it should be I, I, and I. (In my ex's case it was always I,I and I).

Me and myself and I are the same person, and of course redundant You cannot apply a gramatical rule to a gramatically incorrect sentence.
