I've been using one of these from Hong Kong for at least 5 years. At $12 CAD I don't find them overly expensive. I was also able to use a 12V DC adaptor from an old modem or something so there were no additional costs.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1-4-NPT-Elect...3D290657793099 I have been using this valve and some of its larger siblings for a few years on my system... the only valve from this supplier that I'd stay away from is the push to connect one, as they are really cheap connections and I don't trust them when compared to proper John Guest fittings. So a bit over 20 bucks shipped, and this is the 120v version so all you need to do is add a power cord Last edited by theokie; 07-29-2015 at 01:53 PM. Reason: changed link to canadian ebay |
