I don't use any shutoff. It lasts a long time. Water looks fine, fish are swimming

Thinking of increasing effluent flow to a very slow stream,,,,,, thoughts?

Mine runs at a not so slow stream. I may have to slow it down until corals grow. Ca stays good, but alk climbs a bit
