I have had mine for around 7 months and it deflates now and again,almost looks dead but then inflates itself and is fine,I feed it a nice chunk of krill once a week.Hope yours recovers.

I would never cut mine in half. I would rather let it get big, or split itself. For some reason in my mind splitting an anemone with a blade is like cutting my dog in half to make two.
