We lost power last night for 10-15 min. So far so good. I have a tiny 1500W generator that should run my main pump and 1 heater so I should be ok....

Good luck you guys. Living in PG may suck for this hobby but never a power outage problem. Unless a drunk knocks fown a power pole

My car power inverter is only 400W and I figure my Reeflo hammerhead takes almost all of that and all my heaters are 300W each.
Last week we actually had a huge building fire just down the block that knocked out my power for almost 9 hrs. Every hour or so, I'd siphon 5 gal of water out of my basement sump and dump it into each of my 2 tanks upstairs. I had the wood stove going down in the basement so it was nice and toasty in the house. By the time the power came back on, tank was down to about 75 degrees from 79. But everything was still swimming and coming out by morning.
I ran to my buddies house at 7 am to grab his generator, got it home, started 'er up, ran my cord and plugged in my pump. I kid you not, before the siphon caught in my herbie, the power came back on... grrrrrrrr. LOL

I filled a bunch buckets with tapwater thinking that we would get a monsoon-style rainstorm and the water supply reservoirs would get a bunch of sediment. (I use tapwater!). But there was no rain; just wind. Let's hope it stays that way....

This is yet another reason to spring for a RODI unit....

Was up at the top of Whistler today, and it was windy alright. They had to close down the Peak2Peak gondola. But not as bad as I was expecting. Had another great deep powder day, so can't complain about that.

In Langley, I live in one of the worst places for power outages, yet it was not bad at all last night. Don't think it will be too bad tonight either. But am home now, so all ready with my back up battery packs if it does happen.

Solutions are easy. The real difficulty lies in discovering the problem.

Yup, went out in my area of Surrey between 645pm-11pm ish. Good thing we have a generator that I bought in a panic after the last 4 hr outage back in Nov. I just had to scramble to slightly assemble it & get some gas. I would have been pi***d if it didn't work, lol. Was more than enough to run 2 return pumps, 2 heaters & the TV
