Actually not quite. Perculas and ocellaris will naturally host in gigantea and mertensii carpets but not haddoni.

In captivity all bets are off. Especially with captive bred clownfish.

More than likely they will eventually discover the carpet. It could take them a while.

In actual fact it's probably a good thing it is going slowly, if they go into it too soon without the slime coat ready the carpet can eat them. Haddoni's are very sticky and robust eaters.

My first ocellaris pair took something like 2 months to discover their anemone...
