Greg, can't quite tell from the picture but are the fans blowing in or out, or a mix? also is there any open space to let air in or out of the cabinet to make up for the fans?

what I have found is it is always better to use fans to suck the air out of the area you want cooled, and to set up the air intake so the fans basically pull the new air over the parts you want cooled.

I also try hide both intakes and exhausts especially if there is light in the cabinet as I don't want anything distracting the eye from the tank its self, and it may be me but light spillage drives me batty haha.

If you don't mind a suggestion for aesthetics, you could put mesh on the fans side of the door, between the fans and the door. Bug screen or something, and no screws on the outside

I know you've already drilled the holes, but you could still fill them in, or just rotate them and drill again ...

Unless you like the fan guards on the outside

I used black fibreglass bug screen for mine

I don't mind the fan guards on the outside as its on the far end of the tank near the closet & you can't see them unless you go right around the corner of the tank.

Fans are blowing in as its the only way to really cool the power supplies enough, there is a 2" gap at the bottom of the doors where I will be putting some sort of grill for the aesthetics . The light in this area is only on when I want it on, I have 4 switches that control all the under cabinet LED's & upper cabinets independently.

2 MP 40's are set up and running now & a few other little tid bits done.

I was talking about the lights on your controllers and switches, that would be enough to drive me batty at night, but I kind of obsess about stuff like that, so maybe I am not normal.

The lights from the controllers & switches are really not that bright at all, in the dark you can hardly see them at all & its not in a viewable area any ways.

Thanks Tony, 60 gal should be ready in a few weeks and the 30 gal is going to wait for a bit until I actually have the rest of the system completely up & running.

Don't know about Alberta but maybe Rural Central Alberta
