I have both in the middle to upper third of the tank - about 12-18 inches from the top. One is shaded under a big monti plate. However, neither are affected by light or need to be light acclimated.
I have 6x54W T5 supplemented by 2 Kessils A150. You transfer should be fine - they are hardy corals.
