Another light thread.. Need some help and advice!

Looking for some info. I recently ordered some ATI bulbs but was sent Korallen-Zucht and I might actully keep them thought.. But Im not sure what would be better for my tank. I have always ran ATI bulbs and really liked them.

Old Lights:
ATI Aquablue special x2
ATI Purple Plus x1
ATI Blue Plus x3

New lights I got in the mail

KZ New generation x3
KZ Super Blue x2
I kept my old purple plus for the 6th bulb.

I would love some feedback on these bulbs as all the threads I have found are a couple years old and would like update info.

I think I don`t need 3 KZ New gen and maybe should order their Coral Light in replacement of one of the New Gen.

I don't know but have heard that KZ have higher PAR kicks than ATI bulbs. So you got better lights I should say New Gens are 14000k while coral light are 10000k. Will come down to personal preference for color. But I think 3 NG, 2SB and 1 Purple will render almost the same color as your previous configuration.

Well that is good to hear. The main thing I wanted was to make sure I would still have enough par for good sps growth and 2nd a bluer looking tank as per my last light set up. I really want the best growth I can have

As far as I know, Giesemann bulbs < ATI bulbs < KZ bulbs. You should try out the lights and see how the colors suits your need. It will be more about aesthetics now than PAR. You might like it even better than the last time or you may not like it

Logically, you should atleast have almost the same growth if not better (although I would lean towards better since they are KZ bulbs). If I were you, I wouldn't be worried about the combo

KZ bulbs are just more expensive than ATI bulbs for (maybe) a little bit of advantage and hence people tends towards ATI. Both are German bulbs so no compromise in their quality
