I prefer to leave the plush toys for my kids so I went with the Herbie. Works great and have not needed to adjust mine in over a month now I think. I usually do average a month for re-adjustment but I also like to open it wide up to flush and crud that might be in there.

Almost C to C with internal weir and external box with Beananimal drain, my first and only and I like it so far.

Nothing but Durso's so far on all my tanks but I think I am going to do a bean animal on the new 300 gal.

I went with the silent herbie style too. rarely have to adjust it and I agree flushing is a good idea.

Eternal coast to coast with bean animal. Never have to adjust it and makes no sound.
