Default Achilles

Has anyone in BC or Alberta for that matter ever seen an Achilles tang for sale at your LFS? Just curious. I know they're rare, but just wanted to know if they've been sighted.

I had one ordered in from J&L. I would never again get another Achilles without a 500g plus tank. They are huge swimmers that come from surge zones, need incredible amounts of oxygen and swimming space. My 230g was too small for it, and just when I had it adopted to someone else, it jumped from the smaller holding tank.

I see them around from time to time. They are always in rough shape at the LFS, light grey in colour and very skinny. I agree they need a large tank with well maintained conditions.

Wow, I never knew they required so much swimming room... they sound pretty high energy... for a fish that stays <10 inches.. wow.. good to know... thx!
